Praha (Prague) 26 May - 03 June 2008 - Part 8

Finally, Prague...or PRAHA they call it...
A visit to the Palace is essential. Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world. I don't reckon to buy the entrance fee to go into certain parts of the castle. You wouldn't miss out anything, but you must go to St Vitus Cathedral (FOC). With the basic entrance fee 250Kroner (RM50) you get to go in :-

1) Old Royal Palace

- From 1135, it is the oldest part of the castle...Err....I din find the interior of any interest, so I didn't take any photos.. :) Where I took these pictures, I realized that there's a similar view upon exit....Besides the view there's nothing much inside the Palace..

2) Basilica of St George

-Founded in 10th Centruy, It is the best preserved Romanesque Church in Prague, the fasade is from 17th century.

3) Golden Lane

-named after the goldsmiths who lived here in 17th century, it's tiny little houses, which is now used as souvenir shops, In the 18&19th Century, they were occupied by Squatters.

But what was more worth it wasn't all the above but St Vitus Cathedral!! From the architecture of the Cathedral outside to the glass painting inside....AMAZING...The exterior of the cathedral is comparable to La Sagrada Familia - in Barcelona, Spain -

Personal opinion. Both of them are just so wow-
ing.....ahahha...what a good command of English...

Below are the interiors of the Cathedral....Beautiful isn't it??
