Cesky Krumlov (Czech)- Part 7

From Salzburg, we proceeded to our last country of the trip, Czech. We took a train $E54.60 (including the train ride from Cesky Budejovice to Prague - You must go to Cesky Budejovice to change train/bus to Cesky Krumlov. There's no direct train/bus to Cesky Krumlov) from Salzburg which was approximately 5.5 hours to Cesky Krumlov, south part of Czech. Cesky Krumlov has been declared UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992. This town is famous for its Old town and its castle, second largest in Czech. Population in this town is only 14, 000. As the town's very beautiful, I'm going to present to you lots of pictures...........

This town is highly recommended by me, not Lonely Planet..hahah..though I'm sure it is already highly recomended by lots of travel books......Though it is small, but it has a very distinctive features from the usual cities....Its cobbled street (look at the picture on the right - the whole town is with all these buildings), picturesque buildings, it is very relaxing for a day-out with family, if you could imagine what I mean. I bet lots of calendar pictures were taken from here...

Cesky Krumlov Castle....

The map and murals on the walls....

Errrm....you've gotta excuse me.....There's also 2 HUGE BEARS in the entrance of the castle...I haven't seen a REAL bear before, have you?....Sorry lah...i city girl mah.....

You must go up to the tower (Entrance fee 40Kroner = Rm8) - Beautiful snapshots from there...

A video clip from the tower, which gives a glimpse of the city...

Somemore pics on the town...

FOOD TIME................

This has got to be the best Roasted pork knuckle I've ever tasted in my
life!!!!We just tumbled upon this Restaurant...Mom agrees too....It's around RM40....It's not even a should-go....it's MANDATORY... to go to this small little restaurant KRCMA SVATLASKE in Street Horni Ulice 157. It's so tasty...Basically like "siu yook" but....hmmm.... it's so huge...crispy....and so delicious....and the meat is so tender....We couldn't find anymore of these quality in Prague....so don't miss it...

More pics of the town....

do I need to convince more ? :)

Our hostel.....Good one...though it's a little bit at the edge of the town....but it's somehow near...5 mins walk....it's a very cooling hostel as it's near to the river.....Hospeda 99 in Vezni 99.

From the train station, it's a bit tricky to get to the town though. Highly recommend the bus...it's almost a 20 min walk...and the best part of getting to the train station is it's a uphill walk whether you choose the normal road or cobbled hill....If you follow the road for cars, the distance is twice the time of walking on the cobbled hill....That was really a challenge....
