01 - 11 September 2008 - London/Scotland/Venice - Part 2

We spent almost like a half day in Glasgow. Glasgow had nothing much to offer....But definitely not as cold as Edinburgh. The wind was very strong....and it was raining as well...And we had Chinese Buffet here too....We'd it near the Queen Street train station - King's Chinese Buffet - among the dishes was "Foo Yoong (Seremban) egg"....so you can basically guess where the owner's from :)

Glasgow Aiport - the ambience looked more like a cinema than an airport...

We took the earliest flight back to London Stansted, to catch the earliest flight to Venice Treviso. It's around 45 mins to Piazzale Roma. I could say that it's my first time taking a budget airline - Ryanair. These are some facts which I encountered - which I'm sure most of you have already encountered if you've already taken Air Asia ( sorry, can't help it but to complain...just a little) :-

1) I'd ever to queue just to get a "nice" seat. Normally I wouldn't even board when I see that almost the last pax boards. I didn't remember which league was it which we took, we were almost the last passengers, we'd to squeeze through a very unwilling uncle to let us in the seats, since he took the aisle seat.

2) And I'd to refrain myself from buying stuffs cos the limitation is only 15 kg! Damn! No extra souvenirs, no pasta, no chocolates....

3) Normally I would just stuff my handcarry luggage with close to 12kg, which thank god, that day I didn't, cos in London Stansted, they weighed my handcarry, the limitation was 10kg, and mine was 9.5kg...Phew!!!!!!

4) A coffee/tea costs like $3(pounds)!!! Sorry lah....I can't help it but to think that I'd to gulp down the RM21 (Dirhams conversion against the pounds) coffee - not that it's Starbucks - I'd rather thirst!!!!

Given a chance, errrm...no budget airline pls!!!!! Well of course, I wouldn't be saying such thing when I'm no longer in the airline industry....haahahhaha....

So here we are - Venice

Our room - Dimora Serenissima - Santa Croce 555 - quite near to Piazzale Roma - if you were to take their twin bed room - it's not at that location, it's at a more residential place. not far as well.....it's byfar the best - cos it's more expensive!!! (around $40Euro per pax per nite)

Cheap snack....This pizza is good.....Pizza Al Volo - at Campo Santa Margherita - I think it costs aroun $2Euro - but it's superb!!!

Since there's no chance to sit in the gondola as it costs around $E60 per person, so just WATCH people enjoying themselves in the gondola loh...
