I promised myself that this will be the "last trip" going on a vacation - as all my money was spent on travelling during my years in Gulf Air!!! Yes, you read it right....ALL!!!!... so let's see if I can keep this vow... Travelling is really addictive......there's so much to see and never enough....
Covering these 3 countries - Austria, Hungary and Czech have made me cross out the European continent, of course there is the Scandinavian countries, Scotland and the Eastern Europe which I haven't visited, but as per "MY LIST"....it's completed...
This trip was more like a "tour-trip" plan...as there was short of time, I couldn't cover every "nice" city-as I always did, so I started the trip in Vienna. Vienna is such a Mozart city with every shop "Mozart-ized"....This is a franchised souvenir shop, but see what I mean?? "MOSTLY MOZART"??

Vienna doesn't feel complete without going to the Opera House. On that day, Falstaff was playing.....As mentioned in the travel book, there's "standing ticket" which costs around 2-3.50 Euro....Since mom hasn't seen it before and I was also curious how's Vienna's opera...so we went for it....... So it says that the show starts at 7.30pm, but for standing tickets it's better to go there around6pm. When we reached there at 5.50pm....there were already " 1batch" of people waiting.....sitting down on the floor....restless....and mind you those businessman with jackets and coats are also standing there queeing........
We bought the 3.50Euro ticket....and proceeded to the "standing area" . A briefing was given by the staff.....It's quite funny cos he mentioned the "house rules".....n
o bags are allows, no jackets. You must leave them with the concierge. And why it was funny was because then he said "please mark your area"....so that you know that that's your place when you come back afterwards and also so that nobody "takes" that place....so you saw people thing the stand with scarf, strings etc.....If you take a closer look at this picture, you can see the scarf under my left arm.....ahahhahaa......that's not mine....i'm not so kiasu....ahahahha...behind me are the "seating seats" and the "art background" is the stage...

So the show started at 7.30pm and surprisingly the hall was full....We left in the middle of the show as we didn't really find it that interesting....but it's good experience loh....
