Valley of the Queen (Entrance :EP15=RM10)
When we went there, it was half hour b4 closing time. Apparently there are around75tombs in this Valley. Belonged to queens of 19&20th dynasties. Only few are opened to public. Anyway, the highlight seems to be Tomb of Nefertari (we didn't manage to see it as only limited tickets are sold per day) Nefertari was the one of the 5wives of RamsesII and it's his favourite one.
I think if it's not because of this tomb, Valley of the Queen has nothing much to offer. Above : taken inside the tomb.
That's the end of the tour for today....Hope it's not too much to absorb..heheheh...
Ok...let's detour a bit and talk about more interesting topic...Think I missed out to point out one of my favourite topics...FOOD!!!! As such, this topic will ALWAYS be included in my travel page...hehhehe...
well....this trip we've not really tried a lot egyptian food...mainly because we were always on the train or in the car :P
Hahaha...does it look like he's making our local roti canai?? :) it's actually called egyptian pizza..in malaysian term, it's roti canai with pizza ingredients, think the most appropriate name for it i would say is...Murtabak Pizza???hahaha....The crust is really cripsy, just like our Roti Canai......yummy...
Well, how did we get to know this shop? Wanted to go to Televisyen Street cos apparently there's supposed to be a souq there..which sells mainly clothes.....hungry...so asked our driver boss where would he suggests: he told us this.... the original aka Italian pizza tastes equally good as well. Well being a true Malaysian, I prefer the Egyptian Pizza while Marie prefers the Italian one.
Those who'd like to give it a try : it's called Pizza Home (behind El Marwa Hotel)By the way, it's not expensive, the bill came up to less than RM35 for 2.
Some vendors selling pastries in the souq....
One of our dinner places ....kebabs...macarona (ie macaroni)...
Lunch cooked by our cook, Ms Marie :)
Had lunch in this delicious and affordable restaurant, Chezo Omar by Youssif Hassan Square. We had Grilled Chicken and Grilled Fish, each costing RM10.
